It all starts with the Hub. The new INSTEON Hub controller connects you to your home from any smartphone, tablet or web browser. You can then control your INSTEON home from across the room or across the world. You can even choose to receive instant event emails or text message alerts.
The Hub works in combination with your router and smartphone or tablet to control INSTEON devices in your home while you're there or when you're at work - or even on vacation. The INSTEON for Hub app works in concert with the Hub to automatically configure your Hub and router for remote access - so simple, anyone can do it.

Value Quality Performance Disappointing
Review by Sarah Yingon 23/01/2018Disappointed I invested so much money into this system. Was great to start with initially, but so hard to get the different modules nowadays - always out of stock. Have tried contacting Insteon in the US, and no real help there either. -

Value Quality Performance Simple - in a good and bad way
Review by Granton 6/09/2015I own both the INSTEON Hub and Vera 3 (Z-Wave), so I'm in a good position to compare both systems. Overall the INSTEON Hub is way easier to use and I have to say more reliable than the Vera. That's the good side. On the negative side, don't expect to do much in the way of advanced home automation. Granted it will do the basic stuff, and do it well, but it is missing some of the fancier stuff you can do with Vera. -

Value Quality Performance Android and iOS App is awesome
Review by Wattoon 5/10/2014I am able to use the Hub from my iPad, Nexus 5 or Surface 2, with all of my settings shared which is really handy. The Windows app needs some work to catch up to the Android and iOS apps though (-1 star for performance until Windows app is updated). The actual Hub i consider to be good value and quality (5 stars). -

Value Quality Performance Thermostat control from my phone
Review by Suzanneon 27/09/2014I purchased the Insteon hub and the insteon thermostat on the advice of a friend, as I was always leaving the heater on when I left for work. The thermostat was a bit difficult for me to install on my own (my friend had to help), the instructions could be easier! But it's been a lifesaver - I've had to turn the heater off with my phone on more than one occasion! The app is great. Looking to expand with some sort of lighting control soon too. -

Review by DylanHon 14/09/2014The app for the hub works really well on my iphone and galaxy tab. Easy to setup and use, once you get use to it. There are some slight differences between the apple and android apps (I prefer the apple app) - overall I highly recommend this product.
