Questions about Fibaro Z-Wave Smart Implant
<< Back to the product pageQ: Hi
I have a Vera Edge hub. Do you know if this device is compatible with the Vera Edge and my Elite (by Arrowhead) alarm panel?
Cheers
Rob
A: Yes, it is compatible with Vera - but there is a bit of extra configuring you need to do - please see this link https://community.getvera.com/t/fibaro-smart-implant-instructions-to-configure-binary-inputs-updated-skip-first-two-posts-instructions-on-the-3rd/210255/8
As for your alarm, I am sorry to say I am not familiar with this alarm panel so I am unable to offer assistance with this part.

Q: We currently have RF corded blind motors which are great if the signal gets through, can this go in that unit to turn them z-wave? They’re 12v with up/down/stop buttons on the unit.
A: With a bit of DIY work this should work - my only concern is the Fibaro Implant has 2 dry contact outputs (which could drive up / down) - not too sure about the stop - it depends how this is wired - if stop simply breaks the up / down contacts - then we will be good to go - if it is its own dry contact connection, then we would need another Implant. I hope this helps.

Q: I know, it's a really technical question. I did read the user manual, but couldn't really find an answer.
I want to use it as garage door controller. I have two contact sensors (door open and closed), and I want to use both outputs - to control open/close direction.
So my question is - is it possible to detach inputs from outputs and read both inputs state via Z-Wave and control both outputs via Z-Wave?
A: Yes - this s possible.... two independent low-voltage (including dry contact for garage doors and gates etc) control outputs and two independent binary inputs (for reed switches etc).
