A strobe/siren is a great deterrent to a potential intruder.
This wireless solar powered strobe/siren has front and back tamper switches that will trigger the siren and strobe if the front cover is removed or if the casing is removed from the wall. It has a built-in rechargeable lithium battery that provide 10 days standby power in case there's no sun. When your alarm system is in armed mode a red LED will flash slowly to advise you the alarm is turned on.
Please note that the solar panel must receive some direct sunlight in order to recharge the lithium battery. Indirect sunlight is not strong enough to maintain a high powered battery level.
